The festival is dedicated to the art of documentary. Each spring Doxa draws filmmakers and audiences together in one of the world's most beautiful cities for outstanding films and conversation.

DOXA will offer an exceptional selection of films, filmmaker Q&As and Industry events.

In-person screenings will take place at:
The Vancouver Playhouse (Opening film)
The Cinematheque
VIFF Centre
SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts

In-person Industry events and festival socials will be held at:
SFU’s World Arts Centre
The Post at 750

Films in the online program will be available to stream for the duration of the aforementioned festival dates, unless otherwise specified. Online films are geo-blocked to Canada and virtual tickets will be limited.

DOXA presents films that have not been seen by Consumer Protection BC. Under BC law, anyone wishing to see these unclassified films in theatres must be a member of The Documentary Media Society and at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise stated.

When you purchase your $2 membership, you are entitled to attend screenings, provided you show your membership card and your ticket.
