Unless authorized with written permission by Arts Vista, there should be no third-party representatives allowed to register any account. In the event of this happening, it will be regarded and legally treated as cases of impersonation, fraud or similar. Arts Vista will not knowingly accept registration from anyone under the age of 13. In the event of someone falsifying their age when registering, it will be regarded and legally treated as a case of impersonation, fraud or similar.
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
We collect and store information, including personal information, about you and your use of our service. This information is gathered in a number of ways, including when you enter it on our website (e.g. your first and last name, password, e-mail address, date of birth, and gender, when you register for an Arts Vista account, or your profile information that you provide for your Member Profile such as first and last name, picture, and arts genre preferences, and from interactions with our Service (e.g. photos, comments, reviews and other materials that you post to our Service). You can choose not to provide any personal information we may request of you, but, in general, most of the personal information we request is required in order to provide our service, and the lack of such personal information will prevent us from doing so. We use the information for such purposes as determining your general geographic location, providing localized content, personalizing the service to better reflect particular interests, helping us quickly and efficiently respond to inquiries and requests and otherwise enhancing or administering our service offering for you and other users.
We also may use your e-mail address or other methods to send you newsletters, as well as messages about new Arts Vista features, Arts Vista special offers, promotional announcements, consumer surveys and other correspondence concerning our service. If you no longer want to receive certain communications from us, simply access “Email preferences” on your private ‘Member Profile’ page and uncheck those items to unsubscribe. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from certain correspondence from us, including messages regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the our Service. It should be noted that we may also receive personal information about you from other sources with which you have registered, companies who we have partnered with or are affiliated with, or other third parties. We may associate this information with the other personal information we have collected about you. We may also collect information about you and your friends who use Arts Vista, from any social network you may have connected from, in order to provide you with a more personalized experience.
USE AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
In general, personal Information that you submit to us is used to provide you access to Arts Vista member features, to better tailor the features, performance, and support of Arts Vista, and to offer you additional information, opportunities, joint promotions or services from us, our partners and other third party service providers at your request. By participating in such joint promotions or programs and using their services, you consent to our sharing of your information. Please note that we do not control the privacy practices of these third party businesses. Arts Vista is free to use any comments, information, ideas, concepts, reviews, techniques or any other material contained in any communication you may send to us, including responses to questionnaires or through postings to our Service, including the Arts Vista website and user interfaces, without further compensation, acknowledgement or payment to you for any purpose whatsoever including, but not limited to, marketing products and creating, modifying or improving our Service. Furthermore, by posting any feedback on our site, submitting feedback to us, or in responding to questionnaires, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free irrevocable license, including the right to sublicense such right, and right to display, use, reproduce or modify the feedback submitted in any media, software or technology of any kind now existing or developed in the future. We will treat the personal Information contained in such feedback in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may, however, disclose and otherwise use, on an anonymous basis, any comments, reviews and ratings, or any other information you posted. RIGHT TO ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION
We give you access to information about your membership, your personal data, and your preferences in the Member Profile portion of the website. You are responsible for updating and maintaining the truth and accuracy of the personal information you provide to us relating to your membership. If you want to access or alter your contact information, thumbnail photo, age group, or social sharing links (URLs for Facebook, Twitter, etc), you should do so by visiting ‘Edit Profile’ on our website. You must be signed in to access your User Profile. Your preferences, or ‘Taste Profile’, can be accessed and changed on your personal, private Member Profile Page. Some information, such as your Taste Profile will be displayed on your public Member Profile Page in order that other members are able to view and connect with members who share common interests.
THIRD PARTIES AND SPONSORS
Our Service may be provided through platforms or contain links to sites operated by third parties or sponsors whose policies regarding the handling of information may differ from ours. While we endeavor to associate with reputable companies, Arts Vista cannot be responsible for the information handling practices of other websites, applications and platforms. These websites, applications and platforms have separate and independent privacy statements, notices and terms of use, which we recommend you read carefully. In addition, you agree that we are not responsible and do not have control over any third-parties that you authorize to access your User Content. If you are using a third-party website or service and you allow them to access your User Content you do so at your own risk.
ADVERTISING
When Arts Vista displays ads, we use third-party advertising companies to serve those ads. These companies and our sponsors may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
SECURITY
Arts Vista takes information security very seriously and uses reasonable administrative, technical, physical and managerial measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Unfortunately, no security system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of your information and cannot assume liability for improper access to it.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your membership account access information and for restricting access to your computer or device through which you access your Arts Vista membership account. If you disclose your password to anyone or share your account and/or devices with other people, you take full responsibility for their actions. Where possible, users of public or shared devices should log out at the completion of each visit. If you sell or return a computer or Arts Vista ready device, you should log-out and deactivate the device before doing so. If you fail to log out and deactivate your device, subsequent users may be able to access your account information.
TRANSFER OF INFORMATION AND INTERNATIONAL USERS
Given that the Internet is a global environment, using the Internet to collect and process information necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. Therefore, by using Arts Vista, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information outside your country of residence to any country (including the United States and Canada) where we have facilities or engage third parties (including but not limited to payment processors, cloud service or other IT providers, and other companies that provide services to us). You understand that the countries to which we may transfer information may not have as comprehensive a level of data protection as in your country.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR GENERAL AUDIENCE AND PARENTS
Due to the artistic and creative nature of Arts Vista, its site and its users, certain content displayed may be controversial to some audiences. In the instance of this happening, our audience is advised to contact us if they find any content undesirable and/or unsuitable for public viewing by emailing [email protected]. It should, however, be noted that requests to remove content may be disregarded if we have evaluated and find the content suitable for display on our site. In some cases, such content may contain certain topics (e.g. nudity or racism) and be recognized as authorized works for artistic expression as opposed to being treated as illegal materials. Any explicit (e.g. violence or sexual) or unauthorized content, however, as decided by Arts Vista, will be removed as soon as possible once our online team has been informed and the third-party ‘Content Provider’ of the offensive content has been accordingly notified. The Content Provider will have the opportunity to remove the content forthwith and may submit new content that will undergo another evaluation process before publishing. In the event that a Content Provider has not removed or replaced offensive content, Arts Vista reserves the right to remove such material after all reasonable efforts have been made to contact the Content Provider and a reasonable time period has been allowed in which the Content Provider can remove or replace the offending content.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Arts Vista does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the Service. The Service and its content are not directed at children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
